CHEFS AT OKURA SERVE COMFORT FOOD DURING SUMMER ON SERRE’S THURSDAYS

Serre Restaurant trusts its kitchen to chefs Andrea Ranieri, Antonio Castiello, Arjan Speelman, and Lodewijk Akito van Tilborgh during the summer months.

Serre’s Thursdays turn the Thursdays during summer at Serre Restaurant into an unforgettable and unique experience. Throughout June, July, and August, chefs from various restaurants at Hotel Okura Amsterdam will take over Serre Restaurant’s kitchen. Alongside the regular menu, they will prepare their favourite comfort food dishes. Guests can enjoy Serre’s Thursdays on Serre’s waterside terrace on warm summer evenings.


Chefs Andrea Ranieri and Antonio Castiello will present the flavours of Italian cuisine, while in July, guests can enjoy the favourite comfort food from two-star Chef, Arjan Speelman. In August, Chef Lodewijk Akito van Tilborgh will introduce a Japanese menu to Serre’s kitchen.

June: Authentic Italy

July: Arjan’s Favourites

During the Italian month of June, visitors can experience the flavours of Italy in the heart of Amsterdam. Delight in authentic, traditionally prepared Italian dishes, including bruschetta, fritto misto, spaghetti frutti di mare, tagliata di manzo, and the classic dessert, tiramisu.

Two-star Chef Arjan Speelman will move from the kitchen of Ciel Bleu to Serre Restaurant on the Thursdays in July. During Serre’s Thursdays, guests will discover his favourite comfort food dishes, such as pulpo with black paella, prepared exactly to his taste and with his unique expertise.




August: Japanese Tradition

In Japanese cuisine, dishes are rich in tradition and unique customs, offering guests a truly authentic culinary experience. During Serre’s Thursdays, Chef Lodewijk Akito van Tilborgh, who formerly worked in Yamazato Restaurant’s kitchen, will prepare his comfort food dishes during Serre’s Thursdays.
