OKURA ADDS COLOUR TO SUMMER WITH COCKTAILS POP-UP

Starting June 21, Hotel Okura Amsterdam will serve elegant and artisanal cocktails with a Japanese touch on the lounge terrace of Serre Restaurant.

On the first day of summer, Hotel Okura Amsterdam brings the craft of mixology to life with Cocktails Pop-up. The sunny lounge terrace of Serre Restaurant by the water is temporarily adorned in summer colors and is all about delicious cocktails. It is the perfect place to enjoy in peace in the heart of Amsterdam and to toast in style with elegant and artisanal cocktails with a Japanese touch.


Especially for the pop-up terrace, the expert bar team, led by Najade Bijl, has created six signature cocktails, including one without alcohol.


The Sakura  combines Toki Whiskey with Japanese Ginkgo syrup for a boozy creation, The Lychee is dry and floral thanks to Nikka gin and Lychee liqueur, the refreshing The Shiso has a touch of umami thanks to Yamaoka Shiso Shochu, The Matcha is complex and balanced with the addition of Yuzucello from Ciel Bleu, The Honeysuckle is sweet, sour with a hint of bitterness, and the non-alcoholic The Mandarin offers a surprising sensation thanks to sansho leaf.


At the heart of mixology lies a deep understanding of refined flavor combinations and the delicate harmony between carefully chosen ingredients. Each cocktail represents fresh, pure ingredients combined with precise techniques.

In addition to the refined and delicate cocktails, guests can enjoy artisanal patisserie. The bonbons and macarons are carefully crafted to match the unique flavors of each cocktail. All are infused with alcohol, except for the non-alcoholic Mandarin 0%.






OPENING HOURS


Cocktails Pop-up is open from Sunday to Thursday: from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Friday to Saturday from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM. If the weather is not suitable for the terrace, the cocktails will be served in the Lobby Bar.
