Amsterdam, October 7, 2024 – Yamazato Restaurant , located in Hotel Okura Amsterdam, can once again count itself among the absolute top of Dutch gastronomy next year. The Michelin Guide has confirmed the restaurant’s Michelin star, a recognition for the consistent quality and high level of authentic Japanese cuisine that Yamazato offers.
For over 50 years, Yamazato has been surprising guests with an unforgettable culinary journey through Japan and has played a pioneering role in introducing Japanese food culture to Europe. “Retaining our Michelin star is a wonderful recognition of the passion and dedication of our entire team,” said Executive Chef Masanori Tomikawa . “We strive to surprise our guests time and again with the purity and refinement of Japanese cuisine. This star motivates us to continue to innovate with respect for tradition.”
Yamazato Restaurant takes guests on an authentic Japanese dining experience. Each dish on the traditional kaiseki menu is a work of art in itself, prepared with fresh, seasonal Japanese ingredients and served with Omotenashi – Japanese hospitality from the heart.
